Wat Salaeng (age unknown)
Wat Salaeng is located some distance to the southwest of Phrae. It is worth stopping by to take a look at its old ubosot, which stands nearly hidden in a grove of trees adjacent to the viharn. So far it has escaped any restoration, but it will require some soon, as the building shows signs of falling into ruin. Nearby, the large viharn has been recently renovated and is notable for its use of chong lom (wind gaps), which are a local design for bringing illumination into buildings without the use of windows.
