Wat Phra Non (built 1875)
Wat Phra Non, the "Monastery of the Reclining Buddha" stands at the eastern foot of the hill where Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu is located. The 12 meter Buddha image was built of bricks and concrete by a ruler of Mae Hong Son in 1875. The main architectural point of interest is the Burmese-style mondop with its fine multi-tiered metal roof.
According to GPS readings taken on site, the wat is at 19 17.89560' N, 97 57.80880' E (WGS 84 map datum).
