Wat Chet Yot (uncertain age)
Wat Chet Yot is a seven spired chedi named after its more famous incarnation in Chiang Mai. Both chedis are similar in proportion, but this replica in Chiang Rai is much smaller and lacks the stucco Buddha images found on the base of the chedi in Chiang Mai. The spires and decorative treament of the roof are also different. In front of the chedi stands a more recent viharn-ubosot (a combination assembly and ordination hall).
According to the author's GPS, Wat Chet Yot lies at approximately 19 54.19097' north, 99 49.88122' east (WGS84 map datum).
