Penang Teochew Association (rebuilt 1870 onward)

The Penang Teochew Association comprises two long, narrow buildings facing north on Chulia Street. A temple building, originally form the early 19th century, but rebuilt in 1870, stands alongside the Teochew Merchant's Association. Most of the photos above show the interior of the temple building, as the Merchant's Association building is not open to the public.

impressive photo gallery, but lack of other information such current office bearers, current news and events etc. perhaps you can post some articles on the major historical events and achievement of the early teochew community in penang.

very impressive with the historical building the immigrants had built. The whole building looks a very skill and well excecuted from the front. middle and rear achiitectural design. Some of the structure looks very old which reminds of the Teochew moving to Georgetown.
