Yi Wonyong House - 이원용 가옥 (李源鏞 家屋) (built 1730 onward)
This house was built in 1730, the 6th year of King Yeongjo's rule in the Joseon dynasty. It comprises a sarangchae (outer quarters), an anchae (inner quarters), a haengnangchae (servant's quarters), and a detached house. The linear servants' quarters flanking both sides of the main gate join with the U-shaped main house to create a square courtyard on the interior bounded on all four sides. The effect enhances privacy, since the servants are positioned as a buffer between the outside world and the interior of the house.
At the present time, the house is now officially known as the Sang Chunheon house - 상춘헌 고택 (賞春軒 古宅).
