Kim Sangman House - 김상만 가옥 (金相萬 家屋) (built 1895, 1903, renovated 1982)

The Kim Sangman house is the natal home of Kim Seongsu (1891-1955), a former Vice President of the Republic of Korea. The core areas of the home were built in 1895 with additional structures completed in 1903. Prior to renovations in 1982, the house had unusually steep thatched roofs that were reminiscent of Japanese minka dwellings (folk houses).
