Sinchon Hyangsa - 신촌향사 (新村鄕舍) (c. 1805 onward)

This is one of a handful of Joseon dynasty local affairs offices remaining in Korea today. It was constructed in 1805 along the lines of local contemporary houses, though it is considerably larger. The main wing has seven rooms along the front with a large audience hall at the center.

According to GPS readings taken on-site by the author, the site is located at 33 32.19544' N, 126 37.24671' E (WGS 84 map datum). Address: 제주 제주시 조천읍 신촌리 2156-1.
