Choe Seonpyeong House - 최선평 가옥 (崔善平 家屋) (built 19th century onward)
This beautiful home was built around 1870 on an auspicious site with a river to the south and a pine forested hill to the north. It is arranged in the typical manor of a large home in Gangwon province, with a sarangchae (men's quarters) at the south side of the house and the anchae (inner quarters) facing it to the north across a square courtyard. Sheds and storage buildings flank the courtyard to the east and west. Unlike many old homes in the area, the anchae consists of a single enfilade of rooms, whereas many houses have a double row.
