Bian Gong Gutaek House - 비안공구택 (比安公舊宅) (built early 16th century)
This is the house of Gim Samgeun, who served as the magistrate of Bian during the reign of King Sejong. He lived at Nambuljeongchon, Pungsan-hyeon before his second son, Gim Gaehang (1430-1517) was born. Then he moved here. Thus, this house appears to have been built when he moved to Sosan-ri.
The house is located at the foot of Mt. Soyosan in Sosan-dong. In plan, it measures 5 kan by 4 kan with a square layout. A kan is a traditional unit of measure referring to the space between two columns. The plaque board 'Donsodang' is hung on the front of the house.
(Designated Andong City Cultural Property #211).
