This old, undocumented house is in a precarious state of neglect. Local resident Lee Baek-kyu, who accompanied the author, recounted that the house had previously been occupied by an elderly woman. After her death, the house has been vacant. It likely suffered significant damage in August 2002, when a massive typhoon hit the Gangneung area. Unless action is taken soon, this house will certainly collapse.
