Gi-hyeon House (mid 19th century onward) other
sites in Chungnam |
Seosan, Korea |
This house is believed to have been constructed in the middle of the 19th century, in the late Joseon dynasty (1392-1910). The architecture generally follows the conventions of southern-style houses, but with one major exception. The main gate is located in the north, rather than the south.
