Kim Gi-hyeon House (mid 19th century onward)  other sites in Chungnam     Seosan, Korea

This house is believed to have been constructed in the middle of the 19th century, in the late Joseon dynasty (1392-1910).  The architecture generally follows the conventions of southern-style houses, but with one major exception.  The main gate is located in the north, rather than the south.
