Panmen Gate (age uncertain)
Panmen gate is Suzhou's oldest. It is near the Grand Canal, just a stone's throw away from the Wumen Bridge, one of the famous "Three Scenes at Panmen" along with the nearby Pagoda of Auspicious Light. The gate was extensively repaired in 1986 when the guardtower was rebuilt.
