| Thimpu's
Administrative Buildings (various ages) |
Thimpu, Bhutan |
Thimpu has a relatively pleasant climate and used to serve as the summer capital of the kingdom. Now that it has become the capital year-round, administrative buildings have been added to accommodate various government functions. As Bhutan's most urbanized area, the Thimpu administrative district is unusually crowded with buildings. Dzong-like structures built in the traditional style (some are indeed pre-modern) dominate the skyline.
